Our Story

 The Village Restaurant’s roots run deep in this community

as well as being featured for our pie in the 1962 Worlds Fair.

Originally established as The Village Pie House in 1937, it has long been a gathering place built on comfort, connection, and tradition.

Alicia first became part of the Village story as a young woman working for the company. In 2010, she took ownership—continuing a legacy she already knew well.

Jessica had joined the team even earlier, beginning in 2006, and it’s often joked that when Alicia bought the restaurant, she “bought Jessica with the business.”

Nearly two decades later, that dedication still defines who we are.

Following a fire at a different location, the restaurant entered a new chapter.

In 2017, Alicia partnered with her sister Christina to rebrand and reopen at our current home as The Village  Taphouse & Grill.

Together, they built a space that honored the past while embracing something new.

​

Today, another transition is taking place.

Christina is in a wonderful place in her life and has chosen to step away from the business.

 

Stepping into that partnership is Jessica—naturally—after almost 20 years of serving this community alongside Alicia.

 

While ownership has evolved over the years, the heart of The Village has remained the same. We are proud of our history, grateful for our community, and honored to continue serving you—one chapter at a time.
